Who produces HealthClips?

Milner-Fenwick, Inc., a nationally known producer and distributor of patient education program for over 25 years. Aside from HealthClips, our library includes over 250 videos, including many produced in affiliation with leading medical associations.

How is HealthClips different from other Milner-Fenwick videos?

Generally, our patient education videos are 10-20 minutes long and cover a given topic in some depth. Each HealthClip is much shorter, typically 2-4 minutes, focusing on only one main point.

Is shorter better?

It can be, especially on the Internet where attention spans can be very short. Shorter presentations can be more effective for patients within a facility who aren't well enough to stick with a longer presentation or don't have the time during a short hospital stay. This makes HelathClips ideal for prescriptive use with on-demand and other CCTV systems.

How are HealthClips developed?

Milner-Fenwick uses its 30 years of expertise in patient education video production to produce high quality, authoritative programs. Each video is developed with leading medical experts and pre-tested and peer-reviewed before release.

What subject areas do you cover?

Currently there are over 400 clips in cardiology, diabetes, wellness, pulmonology, stroke, hospital quality of care, and new mom – new baby.

How can I view the clips before making a decision?

Just fill out the brief registration form on this site and we we'll provide online access to every clip in the library.

What does HealthClips cost?

HealthClips can be licensed for up to 5 years. The price depends on the number of clips selected, the size of your facility, and how the clips are used by your organization. Once we know what you have in mind, one of our representatives can provide a quote.

What if a program is updated?

With your license, you're always entitled to the most current version of any program.

Does Milner-Fenwick provide the “video streams” for web use or do we do that ourselves?

Generally speaking, Milner-Fenwick will “host” the streams and provide the necessary support for your webmaster to integrate HealthClips seamlessly into your website. It is possible to stream the clips yourself if you have the resources to do that.

What kind of tech support do you provide for web streaming?

We'll provide the necessary code for the video player and for the video clips you select. We will also help you troubleshoot any technical difficulties as they come up during set-up and afterward.

Can HealthClips be personalized and/or customized and, if so, how?

For web use, we can add your logo to the video player. Companion transcripts that can be printed by users can also include your logo.

Are your programs available in Spanish?

Not yet

How can patients access HealthClips from home?

It all depends on how they're integrated into your website. It can be set up so that any visitor to your site can have access to the clips or access can be password protected. You can also e-mail links to patients to bring them to a specific video clip you want them to see.

What computer resources do users need to look a HealthClips from home?

They need a broadband connection (DSL or cable) and the Adobe Flash ^® plug-in which comes with most computers (if not, it is available to everyone as a free download from Adobe).

Are there partnership opportunities?

Yes, we have worked with other organization including many medical associations. We'd be happy to discuss your ideas.
